Solana Bribie Island has the best in both lifestyle, and community living. Residents love the natural beauty of the island setting, and the opportunity to explore everything Bribie has to offer!

As part of Queensland’s “sun corridor”, Bribie Island can be enjoyed all year round. With the average winter high falling in the low 20’s, it’s the perfect climate for a round of golf, a day on the boat, or even a visit to the beach. There are some great tour services available for exploring the island, either by 4-wheel drive, boat, or even gondola! Of course, you can also explore on foot, with gorgeous beaches and nature walks around the island.

For a fun day with the grandkids, check out the Sandstone Point Hotel’s petting zoo, with lots of furry friends, and a talking macaw named Calypso. The hotel itself is a Bribie landmark worth checking out, and visitors can even grab a bite to eat at the hotel’s restaurant, overlooking Moreton Bay. The Bribie Island Markets are also a big draw, with everything from seasonal fruits and veggies, to arts and crafts, to new and used merchandise. With five different markets to explore, there’s definitely something for everyone!

No matter the season, Bribie is the place to eat for the foodie in the family! Favourites like Kebab Haven, Charlies, or Sue’s Bar & Grill are great for casual dining with yummy eats, while Savige’s Seafood, Ignite by Dockside, & The Oyster Shed will satisfy the seafood lovers. You can even get food right to your boat with Dock & Dine, offering pick up or boat drive-thru! For the hardcore foodies, don’t miss the award winning smashed avo at Evolve Espresso.

Island living is the perfect place to pursue an active lifestyle. There are plenty of dog friendly parks and beaches, boating and fishing, and activities such as kayaking, golfing, and more. For some, shopping makes the list of favourite activities, and Bribie delivers there as well, with lots of great shopping available all over the island. With sun, surf, and sand available all year long, island residents won’t have to curtail their activities just because the calendar says winter!
