For 65 years, Stockwell has created communities that foster a sense of identity, belonging and connection. Solana Bribie Island offers the lifestyle you’ve been looking for, with innovative floor plans and a range of price points. Make your move now, and take advantage of our HomeBuilder Grant Guarantee!

In June 2020, the Australian Government announced the HomeBuilder program, to provide eligible owner-occupiers with a grant of $25,000, to build a new home, substantially renovate an existing home or buy an off-the-plan home/new home where the contract is signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020, and construction begins within 3 months of the contract date. The purpose of this grant is to help stimulate the housing construction industry. Currently, homes in lifestyle resorts such as Solana do not meet the criteria for the grant. However, Stockwell has been actively advocating for the inclusion of lifestyle resorts. In fact, we are so adamant about the role of lifestyle resorts for housing choice and new construction, that we will guarantee the $25,000 ourselves to our qualifying clients.

What do you need to do to qualify for the Stockwell Guarantee? First, you must sign your contract with Stockwell prior to December 31st, 2020, which will include a special condition for the guarantee. Ensure you comply with all of the eligibility requirements for the government’s HomeBuilder Grant and submit a claim. Provide us evidence of your rejected claim by the authorised Queensland Government Authority. If all of these criteria are met, Stockwell will provide payment upon settlement.

What are the eligibility criteria for the HomeBuilder Grant? Owner/occupiers must be a person, not a company. You must be an Australian citizen over the age of 18, with either an income cap of $125,000 per annum for an individual, based on 2018-2019 taxable income or later, or an income cap of $200,000 per annum for a couple, based on both 2018-2019 taxable income or later. You must enter into a building contract between June 4, 2020 and December 31 2020, for either a new home build that will be your principal residence, where the property value does not exceed $750,000, or substantially renovate your existing home as your principal residence, where the reno contract is between $150,000 and $750,000 and the value of your existing house and land does not exceed $1.5 million prior to the renovation. Lastly, construction must commence on or after June 4 2020, and within 3 months of the contract date.
